St. Louis for Memsoft

Back

I had a demo for my company Memsoft in St. Louis. We decided to make a long weekend out of it.

First we went to visit Aunt Joan and Jimmy and Grandpa.

We had a great time eating and exchanging Christmas gifts ... however, my camera seems to have flaked out - so I don't have any pictures of that!

On our way out of town Sue took us to the George Washington Carver National Monument.

George Washington Carver was born a slave in a house about this size.
This boyhood monument is located in the very woods where as a young boy Dr. Carver would spend hours observing wildlife.
The sun was right in their eyes.

This visit worked out great because the kids were studying Dr. Carver in their Character First class.
This is a first class organization - after the demo, they presented me with a basket full of Missouri stuff (Bread, Ceramics, Wine/Grape Juice, etc.).
And of course some signed album pages.
Before we left town we had to head to the arch!
It was kinda chilly.
The arch in the early morning sun.
There was no line for the arch - but the waiting queue had some interesting info. I'm not sure why we all look so bummed!
The 'pod' elevator to the top of the arch.
In this one, we look a little happier!
A shot from the top of the arch ...

It was cool weather, but we had a great time!
