Brook/Walker Circus

Back

Sharon home-schools our children. Her good friend Robin home-schools their children. This works out well because the kids can get together and do neat stuff.

One of their unit-studies was on Stewardship of Our Bodies. It started with Nutrition and ended with Fun. For the Fun part, Sharon and Robin decided to put on a circus.

My 7-year old came up with the name ... they really like to say Gluteus Maximus. The kids told us ... 'You may have been to the 'Big Top' but now your at the 'Big Bottom'.

Greg (Robin's husband) and I were the only ones invited to the circus. I guess that's why everything was so expensive. It cost $20 for the tickets and the food vendors were pricey also! But it was well worth the money.

The press was there ... recording every second of the action.
The beam walkers were impressive.
They could cross the beam both ways!
Next the trapeze artists kept us entertained.
Look ... I'm swinging!
Don't try this at home ... oh wait, this is home!
The card tricks left us wondering ...
During intermission ... the vendors had to get their piece of the action.
Once intermission was over, they sent in the clowns.
At first we thought the strong man was a wimp!
Until he hit the big 2000.
Then everyone took a bow.

The End
