Headed to Portland

Back

My wife and I made a trip to Portland, OR. It was a pleasure/business trip.

Did you know that you can rent Harley Davidson motorcycles? Seems that HD encourages their dealers to rent bikes also! So we rented one.

It was HUGE!

We decided to ride out to the Pacific Coast - it's about 80 miles - and drive along 101 for awhile. We had great weather and a great time!

On the way there we saw the sign for the largest Sitka Spruce Tree in the United States.

We had to go see it!
We actually thought this was cooler!
Check out these clovers!
We finally made it to the ocean. (Cool bike huh?)

Yes Mom, we wore our helmets the whole time, we only took them off for the picture.

We ate at a little dinner named Mo's.
Sharon took this from the back-seat.
Hey, a tunnel! 'Fat-Albert'!
We really had great weather.
Especially since the 10 day forcast for Portland was RAIN!
An overlook!
The flowers were beautiful!
More flowers!
Eventually we had to take the hog back.
Before we did though, Sharon took it around the block.
Chinatown!
This was our breakfast table - we ate here every morning.

It was great to get away for awhile, but it was nice to get the kids too!
