The NEW and IMPROVED booth graphics - pretty slick Mr Lipka!
A shot with the boss by the booth.

One of our first customers. We were the only Air Force presence there and despite our poor location we had a lot of traffic!
More customers.

There were two robots at the show. They were equiped with video cameras and speakers so they could pester participants! I watched them follow one woman around for about 5 minutes.
This is not Robert De Niro!
Next to the robots is a next generation fighter. This Marine is carrying computers, enhanced video cameras, and lots of communications equipment!

The Amazing Krendel was also at the conference. He amazed us, but shared some working knowledge. He demonstrated a magic trick in slow motion telling us the steps as he went!
He sawed a woman in half. He told us this was the original version of the trick ... no fake arms or legs hanging out!
The guy holding the leather strap tied her legs to the strap and another audience member tied her neck with a strap ... how does he do that?
This last one is not an illusion. He said it took him 2 years to learn to do this one.
He put 6 double-edge razor blades in his mouth with a length of thread ... after a few minutes he pulled the thread out of his mouth and each of the 6 blades was tied to the thread!

Mike Lipka and I were on the same flight out of DC which ended up being delayed a couple hours. We parked the car near the mall and went on a walk. We headed up to the Washington Monument where I got this shot of the Lincoln Memorial ...
... and this shot of the White House!
Next we headed over to the FDR memorial for an audio tour.
This is a great quote ... some recent presidents would have done well to remember this!
The president took over the leadership at a very dark time for our very prosperous country!
He was the first president to serve more than two terms. He also had the difficult task of leading during WWII.
I had never been to the Korean War Memorial ... after we left the FDR memorial we wandered over toward the Lincoln Memorial.
Our last stop before heading to the Airport was the Vietnam Memorial ... the Washington Monument shows up in the background!
