On July 31st, I went to Washington DC to represent our Knowledge Management team at the Navy Knowledge Fair; the show was at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City. The day before the show ... things couldn't have gone much worse. From the time I woke up until the time I went to bed, not much of anything went right. Couldn't find my itinerary, Lost luggage, laptops not working ... wow!
But Tuesday morning (the actual day of the 'fair'), the luggage arrived, the laptop started working, I had my suit to wear ... the fair went great!

Randy and I right before the doors opened and the throngs of people gathered around us..

This is the same picture, but you can see the new 'booth' that we purchased and set up. Only half of this arrived with us on Monday. The rest showed up 2 hours before the show started.

Some of the other booths. This is NavSea. They were right across from us. You could tell they were used to doing these shows. They had two huge (42inch) plasma displays for their demos ... and they took up a total of 9 booths.

Some of the booth's were un-manned the whole time.

This is actually taking up two booths, but their setup is pretty impressive.

The Marines were there as well.
